No matter the self-conceited importance of our labors we are all compost for worlds we cannot yet imagine.” ~ David Whyte

What if death is not an end, but a turning, a transformation … the fertile dark that nourishes what’s to come? In this month’s Death Salon, we’ll explore how endings , whether personal, ancestral, or collective, decompose into rich soil for new life. Drawing from myth, nature, and soul, we’ll reflect on the wisdom of the life-death-life cycle (Clarissa Pinkola Estés), the descent and return of Persephone, and the Indigenous ethic of living with seven generations in mind.

Together, we’ll reflect, write, and share stories about what is composting in our lives, what is quietly germinating beneath the surface, and what we’re being asked to let die. Not out of despair, but in service to renewal. If you're walking through a threshold, grieving something unnamed, or sensing change on the wind, this space is for you.
